Halloween is still a few days away, but you know what's truly terrifying?

The gun industry's push for a federal Concealed Carry Mandate—an extreme
bill that would force each state to allow people from other states,
including people with dangerous histories, to carry hidden, loaded guns in
public—even in states that wouldn't otherwise let them.

That means someone with a history of violence like a convicted stalker—or
someone with no training whatsoever—could concealed carry in a state that
would have blocked them from carrying. More guns in more hands in more
places is the gun industry's dream, but a nightmare for public safety.

And while the American people are desperately waiting for the government
shutdown to end, the gun industry's allies in Congress are already making
plans to make this terrifying bill their top priority.
