Hi team, Mayor Kate Gallego has been putting in the work to keep Phoenix flying high!
From investments in our technology and innovative industries to new educational facilities and our blossoming food and cultural scene, we continue to prove that Phoenix is a city of the future.
Here are some of the latest developments happening in Phoenix:

Our city’s semiconductor strength is soaring. TSMC, a semiconductor manufacturer, will begin producing NVIDIA's high-tech Blackwell chip, one of the most advanced AI chips in the market. This is just another sign that we’re becoming one of the most advanced manufacturing hubs in the country.
Arizona State University's new medical school, the John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering, recently gained accreditation and will now begin recruiting students for its first class in 2026. This is an incredible development for Phoenix, opening the doors for a new generation of medical professionals and laying the foundations for new medical breakthroughs and innovations.
Early this month, Phoenix hosted SEMICON West, a leading industry conference in microelectronics. Traditionally held in Silicon Valley, this marks the first time SEMICON West has hosted its conference in Phoenix. This achievement highlights Phoenix as a growing center for innovation, technology, and advanced manufacturing. We’re excited to have SEMICON in Phoenix, supporting our local businesses and solidifying our city's position as America’s semiconductor capital.
Phoenix loves good food! Resy, the online reservation platform, has announced its inaugural Resy 100 list, which defines dining today and serves excellent food and drinks. Two Phoenix restaurants made the cut: Kid Sister, a fabulous wine bar, and Valentine, a restaurant that serves flavors from the Sonoran Desert. Congratulations to both restaurants! We’re proud to have them represent Phoenix.
