John, This just broke — Democrats in Richmond are strongly considering calling a special session THIS WEEK to redraw Virginia’s congressional maps before Election Day.
Here’s what makes it even worse: Virginia voters already decided this issue.
In 2020, Virginians overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment creating an independent redistricting commission — by nearly a two-to-one margin. It was a historic, bipartisan step to end partisan gerrymandering once and for all.
Now, Democrats want to overturn the will of the people and rewrite the Constitution to put politicians back in charge.
Make no mistake: this is a blatant power grab.
They know they can’t win fair and square, so they’re trying to change the rules and tilt the map in their favor — potentially handing themselves two more congressional seats, including Rob Wittman’s.
We can’t let them get away with it.
Please, pitch in now to help re-elect Rob Wittman and stop Democrats from overturning Virginia voters’ decision. |
Every contribution will help Rob fight back against these attacks and keep Virginia’s First District red.
Thank you, Team Wittman |
