Hi, Friend, it’s nice to meet you! I’m Rachel — Team Russo’s resident finance director and biggest fundraising cheerleader.

I know your inbox is probably full of emails just like this, asking you to pitch in ahead of our big end-of-month deadline coming up. So before I get into my schpiel, I just wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for staying engaged with our campaign. Thank you for making sure that even after two months on the trail, our momentum hasn’t slowed for a second. And thank you for your support.

The tough reality of races like ours is that they get expensive fast. Because when Republicans all but promise to silence us, their special interest donors and mega rich allies start lining up with blank checks to help them finish the job.

Not us.

This is truly a people powered campaign. The vast majority of our donations come from real, working Ohioans. Our average donation is less than 30 bucks. And that means we need a lot of donors just to help us keep our boots on the ground.

Friend, it’s a badge of honor to be powered by and for the people — but it makes big targets like our EOM goal really important for us to hit.
