Dear Neighbors,
As a reminder, I am hosting an upcoming town hall with colleagues to address public safety and our school communities. On Wednesday, October 29th, from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM join me and community partners for a discussion on the safety of our students. We'll address the impact of increased ICE operations in St. Paul and the recent federal memo regarding financial incentives for unaccompanied migrant children to self-deport.
We will explore how these developments affect our schools and what we can do to best support our students.

Now more than ever, our students and, most importantly, their loved ones need to feel a sense of safety and support. No parent or guardian deserves to live in fear of taking their child to school drop-off, and children shouldn't fear if they won't see their parents again. This uncertainty needs to be met with concise and factual information, support from all areas of our government, and leaders who boldly say, "Not here, not ever."
Please bring your questions, comments, and concerns. I look forward to connecting with you on this important matter.
