Hey John, did you see my message from yesterday? I just announced the MFOL Storytelling Studio. In short, this will be a new space inside our office that will become home to the direct-to-camera storytelling that’s so critical to our movement.
So much of how we consume information and how we learn about the world is through video. Whether it’s on social media, the news, or even in short clips that spread across the internet. When young people speak directly to the camera, their voices cut through the noise and reach people in ways nothing else can.
We want to take advantage of that power as we fight gun violence across the country, but we can’t do it without you.
Can you chip in anything you can today to help us bring the MFOL Storytelling Studio to life?
You can learn more about what we’re envisioning below.
Thanks for your support,

Hey John, it’s Sam! I lead our communications and digital efforts here at March For Our Lives, and I wanted to share an idea our team’s been dreaming up. One that I think could really change how we tell our stories.
Our team has been organizing for years, and we’ve seen what happens when people hear a survivor share their story. Something shifts. Hearts open. People pay attention. Communities come together.
But here’s the truth: right now, we don’t have a real space to tell those stories the way they deserve to be told.
That’s why we want to build one right here in our office.
We’re envisioning a studio that can be a permanent home for recording interviews, filming TikToks, and documenting the movement’s most powerful moments. A place where stories of grief, resilience, and action can live forever.
Direct-to-camera storytelling has become one of the most powerful ways to share information and connect with people online, especially on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. This studio will help us tell those stories with the care, creativity, and consistency they deserve.
Take a look at this mockup I put together ⤵️
This movement was built on our voices. And when we tell our stories, we don’t just remember those we’ve lost, we also fight for those still here.
That’s why today, I’m asking for your help, John. We’re launching the MFOL Storytelling Studio. This project isn’t just to amplify March’s voice. It’s to give youth a mic — from organizers, to students, to survivors. Because we need to hear from them.
I appreciate your support getting this off the ground,
Sam, Associate Director of Communications and Digital
