** John,
------------------------------------------------------------
Over the weekend, ICE continued to terrorize our communities across the Chicagoland area — lobbing tear gas canisters into residential neighborhoods unprovoked and kidnapping our friends and neighbors off the street.
This type of lawlessness cannot be tolerated or normalized.
That is why on Friday, in collaboration with Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, Congressman Chuy Garcia, and members of the Illinois Delegation, we invited other members of Congress from across the country to visit Chicago and hear from rapid responders and community leaders who have been on the front lines of this siege by our own federal government.

Friday’s hearing is just the beginning of what you sent me to Congress to do: conduct oversight and hold accountable the people terrorizing our communities.
SUPPORT TODAY ([link removed])
I’m here to say: we will not allow it.
We will not accept ICE turning our neighborhoods into battlegrounds.
We will not give in to the dehumanizing attacks on our neighbors.
We will not allow our communities to be stripped of resources for the benefit of a wealthy few.
Moments like this remind us why our movement matters — because the fight for dignity, safety, and justice doesn’t stop when things get hard. Your support keeps us in the fight to rein in ICE, protect our communities, and build the kind of future we all deserve. ([link removed])
This moment is yet another call to action. I hope you will stand with me and our communities as we continue to fight back.
In Solidarity,
Delia
