We’re 27 days into this government shutdown, and Republicans are trying to force Democrats to abandon the most vulnerable people who rely on Medicaid for affordable health care and SNAP and WIC benefits to put food on the table. All to pay for tax benefits for the wealthiest Americans.

Health care prices are out of control, and families across the country are receiving letters that their premiums will skyrocket if Republicans continue to refuse to negotiate with Democrats to extend the tax credits within the Affordable Care Act.

John, I won’t stop fighting to lower your costs and make life affordable for everyday Americans.
