Dear John,

“I have the first set of all-girl quintuplets in the United States,” I heard a woman come up to me and say at the Live Action Women’s Summit this summer. She knew I worked for Live Action, and she wanted to share her pro-life story. Hearing her statement, I did a double-take…

“You mean, five little girls?” I asked.

She nodded and said, “I was told by my doctor… your best option is to selectively reduce, so abort, three of these babies.” She told me about how she adamantly refused to do this, knowing each one of her children was precious and unique, and now all five of her little girls are healthy and strong.

John, this manipulative medical “advice” is being given to mothers tragically often. The truth is that even doctors have been given faulty information about abortion. Think about it: The bottom line for the abortion industry is MONEY, not genuine care for mothers and babies.

That’s why Live Action exists. We create educational resources and events to help teach people the truth about abortion, but a dramatic expansion is needed.

We are looking for 500 new monthly donors (Life Defenders) by the end of the month to enable new outreach programs to launch.

This incredible woman who approached me was Danielle Busby, a mom of six (she had previously had one daughter) and a star on the reality TV show “Outdaughtered.”

I interviewed her at our Live Action Women’s Summit, and heard how, despite doctors’ pressure for her to kill three of her precious babies, she carried all five of them and now has a loving family of six little girls with her husband.

That encounter stayed with me: If she had taken this faulty medical advice, she would have willingly had THREE of these beautiful, healthy girls killed.

Little did I know at that time that just a few months later, my husband and I would receive similar, faulty – and potentially deadly – medical advice.

At just 7 weeks pregnant, we received the genetic screening for our little one in the form of a blood test. We wanted to find out the gender early, and this was one way to do it.

As I opened the email, I immediately got a sinking feeling. I saw red markings everywhere. “HIGH RISK” in all caps and all sorts of other scary and uncertain language.

As I scrolled down, trying not to panic, I found the explanation. It basically explained that there were a large number of chromosomes detected in our little one, extra ones that shouldn’t be there, and that this could signal “Triploidy.”

Throughout many appointments to discuss the results, almost every single doctor and nurse we spoke with offered abortion, even though the data was based on a very early blood test known for a high rate of inaccuracy.

In fact, the New York Times has reported that these tests can be wrong up to 93% of the time! And yet, abortion is offered as one of the first choices.

In those moments on phone calls and Zoom meetings with the doctors, I couldn’t help but feel sick to my stomach. Was I hearing them correctly? Were they truly offering to kill my potentially sick baby instead of offering solutions?

As I sat there hearing my baby, who was actively kicking in my belly, being called the “products of conception,” I shuddered to imagine how twisted their words were and how they expected me to easily say, “Yeah… let’s just get an abortion this time. We’ll try again for a ‘healthy’ pregnancy in a few months.”

Danielle and I both experienced this harrowing fact: The abortion industry uses FEAR as a tactic to convince women that they need to kill their babies.

In Danielle Busby’s case, she was told that “it’s just too high risk,” “it’s a potential that she could lose her life and her babies.”

In my case, I was told similar lies about the maternal mortality rate and offered abortion in the same breath as I was being told that these tests were not even conclusive.

This is why the ongoing support of friends like you is so important, John. Where the abortion industry speaks lies and induces fear, Live Action exists to give mothers and fathers TRUTH and to give them encouragement.

Yes, childbearing involves lots of risk, sacrifice, and sometimes scary diagnoses. But defending life is always worth it. People just need to be given accurate information and loving accompaniment.

That’s why we are building upon our online impact to launch in-person programs next year. A renewed Ambassador program, church and college campus chapters, and the North Star Fellowship, created to equip leaders in media, faith, and politics.

Help spread the life-saving truth to those who need it across the country by becoming a Life Defender with a monthly gift of $10 or more here: [link removed] ([link removed] )

The opportunity to have your first month’s impact DOUBLED ends this Friday, so don’t delay!

If Danielle and I had not already been given the truth that every life is worth living, despite challenges, our children might not be here today. Thank you for helping other women like us receive the truth and support needed before it’s too late.

For Life,

Savannah Evans
