Hey there, it’s Hillary.

My least favorite part of campaigning is asking for money.

I didn’t run for Congress to raise money. I ran to deliver results for West Michigan, protect our freedoms, and make government work for the people again. But the reality is, running a competitive campaign in one of the most closely-watched districts in the country means I can’t avoid fundraising.

In the short amount of time I’ve been in Congress, I’ve seen just how much damage Republican chaos and dysfunction can do. Democrats only need three seats to take back the House next year. If we want to take back the House majority, we need to build a firewall right here in Michigan.

Our October fundraising deadline is just four days away, so I have to respectfully ask: Will you chip in $15, or whatever you can, to help us hit our monthly fundraising goal so we can take back the House next year?

Every time I press send on an email like this, I wish I didn’t have to. But when I remember that our campaign is about delivering for West Michigan, it makes it worth it.
