Hi John,

I recently spent the day with Democratic candidate for Congress and former Emmy award-winning news anchor Janelle Stelson. We were out in Harrisburg, chatting with Black business owners about what they need to thrive.

Thanks to the policies of the Trump administration, Black businesses and their customers are facing the brunt of the impacts of inflation, the rollback on DEI policies, and rising health care costs.

It’s hard to hear that these small business owners are struggling, but it reminds me of why I’m in this fight.

In my time as Lieutenant Governor, I have worked tirelessly to support all Pennsylvanians. Days when I get to visit the communities I serve and listen to the real issues facing Pennsylvanians are one of the best parts of this job.

As the son of a union bus driver and hairdresser, I believe in the power of personal stories. My team and I have worked to increase the number of good jobs in the Commonwealth and increase protections around those jobs. We have no intention of stopping anytime soon.

I will not stop fighting for small business owners of our community and the hardworking brothers and sisters throughout the Commonwealth. However, I need your help, and so does Janelle Stelson.
