| Climate Champion, time is running out to submit a public comment defending the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed cuts that will effectively end this longstanding emissions tracking program. About 8,000 facilities are currently required to report their climate-warming emissions under this program. But if EPA’s proposal goes through, we’ll lose crucial data that helps hold these major polluters accountable. With emissions, energy bills, and extreme weather all on the rise, tracking the level and sources of dangerous climate pollution is critical. Already, thousands of climate champions around the country have signed on to our letter opposing the reckless cuts to emissions reporting. But the public comment period on this proposal is closing soon. EPA is only accepting input for a few more days. We need your help to send a resounding message.
