Friend, it's Andrew. Today, I want to talk to you about the latest bill I introduced in Albany. If you haven't been following the news, the latest step in Trump's attempts to send the National Guard into Democrat-led cities across the country includes him circumventing federal protections by encouraging Republican Governors to, essentially, do it for him. My new bill seeks to counter this practice by protecting New York from illegal invasion by other states' National Guard. It does so by requiring the Governors of other states to get consent from the Governor of New York before sending their troops here, safeguarding our civil liberties in the process. It's sad that we need to protect New York from a potential invasion by fellow Americans, but this is reality under the second Trump administration.
Before I dive into the details of this bill, my team has our big End of Month Deadline coming up next week — the last one before the upcoming election. With just $5,822 left to raise online, can you chip in to help us reach our Goal and support candidates on the ballot who care as much as I do about keeping our communities safe?

Friend, since he took office last January, Trump has only ramped up his threats to use state National Guards against states that he views as "uncooperative" with his mass deportation agenda. |
In recent months, he's even gone as far as to say that so-called "dangerous" Democrat-led cities should be used as "training grounds" for the military. |
