 Classroom teachers, scout leaders, nature center educators, youth group leaders, homeschool teachers, and more are all welcome to join us for hand-on training, networking, and lots of fun trying out Project WILD or Growing Up WILD curriculum activities.
Growing Up WILD
Friday, November 14, 2025 from 9am-12:30pm at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm in Wells
Growing Up WILD is an early childhood education program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them through a wide range of activities and experiences.
This training includes a copy of the Growing Up WILD Curriculum and Activity Guide. Feel free to bring things to snack on and to be comfortable during the workshop. Please bring a reusable mug as coffee and hot tea will be provided.

Project WILD Training for Teachers and Educators K-12
Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 9 am - 4 pm at Viles Arboretum in Augusta
Project WILD is an activity based, experiential learning, curriculum guide. It provides wildlife-based environmental education activities that are hands-on, easy to use, and fun. This award-winning curriculum teaches the fundamentals of wildlife ecology, conservation, and ecological issues. While also developing natural science knowledge and critical thinking skills across several different discipline areas. The activities complement existing curricula, Maine state standards, and national academic standards.
This training includes a copy of the Project WILD Curriculum and Activity Guide and snacks! Please bring your own lunch.

Registration is $50 and includes a curriculum and activity guide, snacks, and a certificate of contact hours for recertification good for DOE, Interpretation, and many other certifications.
