Friend,
Earlier this year, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) responded to a 6.0-magnitude earthquake that struck eastern Afghanistan on August 31. Local sources reported that more than 2,200 people were killed and more than 3,000 others were injured across four provinces.
An MSF team was able to quickly arrive in Jalalabad—a city close to the epicenter. There, they assessed needs and distributed emergency kits to ease the strain on health workers, who are working with a lack of supplies but still at full capacity.
You are essential to our ongoing work. Friend, the generosity of supporters like you ensures we’re able to remain nimble during emergencies and pivot quickly to respond where the needs are greatest. Donate now to fuel our lifesaving emergency recovery efforts in Afghanistan and around the world.
