John,
When the coronavirus pandemic hit, Labor called for Scott Morrison to implement a wage subsidy scheme. He refused. But after
our community spoke up, the Government backflipped and people’s lives and livelihoods were protected.
But now the future of JobKeeper is in doubt and the Liberals and Scott Morrison want to cancel the fortnightly JobKeeper
payment too early.
Just as people are starting to get back on their feet, their plan to cancel JobKeeper too early would have a devastating
impact on millions of local businesses and households that rely on it to make ends meet.
There are nearly 900,000 businesses and organisations in Australia and around 3.3 million workers they employ who are at
risk if Scott Morrison and the Liberals withdraw JobKeeper support too early.
Find out what cancelling JobKeeper too early would mean for your community.
The last thing that Australia needs right now is to force workers off wage subsidies and into unemployment queues.
Thanks and stay safe,
