The recent attack in the Kherson region of Ukraine destroyed nearly 800 hygiene kits bound for women and girls in Ukraine — where families have lost everything and are living without power, water, shelter, or basic supplies. Supporters like you have helped replenish these basic hygiene supplies, so women and girls can manage menstruation with dignity, deliver babies safely, and meet basic hygiene needs. These kits might be the only form of humanitarian relief displaced women and girls receive. We still need help to replace the hundreds of destroyed kits. They contain what we may consider simple, everyday supplies — to those suffering, they are lifelines.

Last week, in the Kherson region of Ukraine, an attack on a humanitarian convoy caused the loss of nearly 800 hygiene kits and personal items meant for women, girls, and older people who depend on urgent relief amid conflict.
The Kherson region continues to face relentless shelling and insecurity, with entire communities cut off from markets, healthcare, and other essential services. Vulnerable women, girls, and older people with chronic illnesses and disabilities also face frequent blackouts and loss of electricity, heating, and water systems which further worsens hardships. Continued humanitarian relief, enabled by supporters like you, is critical to ensure women and girls have access to basic services and essential hygiene supplies. In September, UNFPA in Ukraine delivered over 2,400 Dignity Kits to vulnerable women and girls who lost homes, family members, and everything they owned.
