Everyone is watching New Jersey.

Ever since Donald Trump only lost our state by six points in 2024, National Republicans are convinced that New Jersey is going to become the next swing state that they could flip — and with the polls in this race as close as they are, they might well be right.

This is the most competitive gubernatorial election in the country, and one of the first major elections since the presidential election last fall. That means this race is our first chance as New Jerseyans to send a strong message to the White House rejecting the agenda that Donald Trump and Jack Ciattarelli are trying to push onto our state.

And if we win? We can put the entire country on a new path forward: putting people over party, and putting progress over politics.

As New Jersey goes, so goes the nation. What we do here in New Jersey will set the trend for 2026, 2028, and beyond. It’s up to us here to take a stand against Donald Trump’s incompetence and authoritarianism — and show the nation that there’s a better path forward.
