Tune in for today's LaRouche Show, starting at 7 pm (EDT)

Friend —

Over the past week, the proposal for a tunnel across the Bering Strait has been brought back into discussion of renascent U.S.-Russia relations. This theme of U.S.-Russian cooperation, rather than confrontation, has taken on an urgent character as the Ukraine war grinds on, and all efforts to resolve it have run into stiff resistance coming especially from London and other European capitals.

In this context, Helga Zepp-LaRouche and EIR sponsored an extraordinary two-hour roundtable on Oct. 22, titled “The Bering Strait Tunnel Project Can Open a New Era of Peace Through Development,” with experts on engineering, rail development, finance, and diplomacy from the U.S., Russia, Italy, and Germany.

The Bering Strait proposal, connecting Russia and the U.S. by rail, will not only open vast new areas for trade and economic development, but will also change the conditions between the two countries to one of peaceful cooperation instead of confrontation. This is why Lyndon LaRouche had long been a proponent of the project as a way to flank the forces of empire.

As the world sits on the cusp between extremely dangerous eruptions of war on the one side and the opportunity for a new era of peaceful cooperation on the other, the LaRouche Organization is redoubling its efforts to shape this dynamic toward the latter.

Starting At 7pm (EDT)! This Week's LaRouche Show:

After the great financial crisis of 2008, Wall Street was hell-bent on ramming through the infamous bailout bill of 2008. On October 1st of that year, mere weeks after the onslaught of the crisis, LaRouche held this famous webcast in Washington, D.C., titled "The Program for World Economic Recovery."

In his opening remarks posted here, LaRouche posed the actual solution to the crisis based on bankruptcy re-organization and physical economic recovery, NOT bailout. No individual on the U.S. political scene at that point offered such a solution, which today still stands as a the only sane means of dealing with pending blowout of the Wall Street/London bubbles.
