Hi John,

Early in my career, Bernie Sanders gave me a piece of advice I’ve never
forgotten.

He said, “In politics, people succeed either by being really good at lying
or really good at telling the truth. You strike me as someone who’s not
good at lying — so your job is to get really good at telling the truth.”

So today, I’m going to tell you some truths about our campaign.

We’re just two points behind the AIPAC-backed candidate.

We have the momentum to win.

This is, no exaggeration, a make-or-break moment for us.

In preparation for the election year, we need to raise as much as we can
to prove that our campaign — one that rejects AIPAC and corporate PAC
money — has enough resources to take on the establishment and win.

Finally, one more piece of truth: I don’t love asking people for money.

But because this is a 100% people-powered campaign, I’m relying on folks
