I’ve always been inspired by Kamala Harris’ tenacity, determination, and strength. She knows how to lead with grace and dignity, and always speaks from the heart.

So you can imagine how honored I was when she singled me out as one of the authentic leaders in the Democratic Party doing good work.

In a recent interview, Kamala brought up my name when she was asked about the new generation of leaders in our party, highlighting my unique perspective in the entire House of Representatives.

Candidly, a lot of people have told me my perspective doesn’t belong in Congress. One conservative commentator even told me to “Go home and be a mother” after I brought my newborn son, Sam, with me to Washington.

So to know that the former Vice President has my back — it’s truly humbling.

I’m incredibly honored to have Kamala’s support as we inch closer and closer to yet another election year — but it doesn’t take just two people to win an election. It takes thousands and thousands of people like you. If you’re with me, and you’re proud of the perspective and leadership I’ve brought to Congress, I’d be grateful to have your support.
