John,

The Liberal government is once again trying to restrict our freedom of expression, this time in a very sneaky way.

They introduced a new bill, C-8, whose aim is ostensibly to strengthen cybersecurity for critical infrastructures, including banking, transportation, energy, and telecommunications.

In this era of cyberwarfare, no one is opposed to this of course.

But there’s more to it.

The bill gives a single minister the power to cut off your internet without a warrant, without a trial, and without even telling you why.

You, your internet provider or anyone involved would also have to keep this secret!

Are we the new USSR or what?!?

They can disconnect you, and then they can gag you from even talking about it!

They say this bill is to protect us from hackers. What about a protester they want to silence? What about you, if you dare to criticize them?

That’s not far-fetched. During the Freedom Convoy, they illegally ordered banks to freeze protesters’ accounts without any judicial authorization.

Now they want the legal power to delete you from communicating with the rest of the world on the internet.

John, in this world where the media cancel politically incorrect voices like the People’s Party, and the wokes control so many institutions, the internet is one of the few places where we are free to express ourselves.

We can’t let them get away with this!
