Protecting Your Access to Care

Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Tyler County Hospital, which has been serving Tyler County and the surrounding area since 1950. Home to roughly 20,000 people, Tyler County saw nearly 10,000 emergency room visits last year alone — proof of just how vital this hospital is to our community.

America’s roots run deep in small towns with good people, and rural hospitals are the best of them. Yet Democrats are trying to strip away their funding.

Our One Big Beautiful Bill included $50 billion through the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) to strengthen and stabilize rural hospitals and providers. However, Democrats’ version of the bill eliminates this lifeline while funneling billions into Obamacare subsidies that pad insurance company profits and squeeze out local providers.

Our country wasn’t built to serve big pharma and giant corporations; it was built on hard work, faith, and the promise of opportunity in every community. Access to healthcare shouldn’t depend on your ZIP code. Rural America deserves the same quality care as anyone else.
