I want to take a moment today to share a personal story with you,
Patriot.
It’s a story about how an early morning church service and a sermon
referencing Psalm 121 left an imprint on my soul and strengthened my
faith.
When I arrived at West Point as a new cadet, I had no idea how much it
would transform my life.
During my first plebe summer, I attended an early morning church
service. The sermon referenced Psalm 121:
“I LIFT MY EYES TO THE MOUNTAINS- WHERE DOES MY HELP COME FROM? MY
HELP COMES FROM THE LORD, THE MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH.” PSALM 121
THAT PSALM AND MY TIME AT WEST POINT HAVE BEEN A TOUCHSTONE EVER
SINCE, SUSTAINING ME DURING DIFFICULT MOMENTS IN MY LIFE.
When I decided to run for U.S. Senate, I made a promise to come to
Washington and work with fellow political outsiders like President
Trump to shake up business as usual. Now I’m working to fulfill that
promise every single day.
We need leaders in DC with the strength, the will, and the moral
clarity to meet the challenges we face. SO, IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO
