Team,

Did you get the chance to read Yvette’s email?

Right now, we’re in the fight to get meaningful policing reform through Congress. The House of Representatives stepped up and passed the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, and now it's time for the Senate to do the same.

But, right now, Mitch McConnell is trying to ignore this bill. We can’t let him kill the Justice in Policing Act without putting up a fight. America needs and wants these reforms.

So, can we count on you to add your name now and put pressure on Mitch McConnell to pass the Justice in Policing Act?

Team — For far too long, America has seen the scourge of institutional racism embedded within our system of policing and criminal justice.

That is why I was proud to stand with my colleagues in the House and pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. The House of Representatives stepped up and passed this overdue reform, and now it’s time for the Senate to do the same.

Unfortunately, Mitch McConnell is trying to stop this from coming up for a vote — that’s why I’m asking you to use the power of your voice and demand action. Will you sign our petition telling Mitch to bring the bill up for a vote NOW?! →

While this bill will not fix everything, it is a good step in ensuring that more Black Americans do not die at the hands of those sworn to protect us. That’s why it’s so important to pass this bill right now.

We can’t let Mitch McConnell kill this bill without a fight. That’s why I need you to voice your opinion right now and tell Mitch that we demand that this bill is passed. Can I count on you to add your name?

Thank you,

Yvette
