John, these haven’t been easy times.

Our country is grappling with the consequences of a mishandled pandemic, this administration’s bigoted agenda, police violence, and deep racial inequality, among other troubling issues. But it’s also critical to remember the light and love that still shines through moments of adversity.

This time is no exception.

That’s why we’re excited to announce our next webinar co-hosted with Auburn Seminary to hear from Valarie Kaur from The Revolutionary Love Project. We’ll discuss the practice of loving others, ourselves, and our opponents. Valarie will share why this time of pain and crisis is also a chance to birth the America we dream, where no person is disposable.

Please RSVP now to join the webinar on July 15th at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT. Join us as we dive into the role of love in resistance and examine the opportunity in front of us to write a new, bold chapter in our country’s history.

The greatest nonviolent social movements in history were rooted in the ethics of love. Not love as a soft feeling — but love as a form of dedication.

We show our love in the hard, demanding labor it takes to pursue equality, justice, and freedom. When the challenges seem insurmountable like they may look right now, it’s critical we remember the power of love in resistance. Even rage is rooted in the practice of love, because the opposite of love isn’t rage — it’s indifference.

Valarie Kaur declares that revolutionary love is the call of our time, a radical, joyful practice that extends in three directions: to others, to our opponents, and to ourselves. It urges us to see others not as strangers, but instead look at them and say: You are a part of me I do not yet know.

We hope you can join us for this powerful discussion featuring Rinku Sen, Women’s March Board Co-President, and Valarie Kaur from The Revolutionary Love Project. Please RSVP now to reserve your spot on July 15th at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT.
