ICYMI This Week: Rep. Meeks Meets with Health Care Leaders to Address the Republican Health Care Crisis 

I visited the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, a vital part of our community that delivers high-quality health care to people across Southeast Queens.

I also met with hospital officials at Jamaica Hospital to discuss how we can strengthen access to affordable health care for Queens families. Every family deserves the peace of mind that comes with knowing care is available when they need it most.

The health care crisis caused by Republican policies, have driven up costs for American families. Democrats are working to make health care more affordable for Americans. Repealing the Affordable Care Act would leave millions of people without coverage. Republicans continue to offer no real solutions to help Americans with everyday expenses and reopen the government.  

I hosted a telephone town hall on the Republican shutdown to hear directly from Queens residents about how rising costs are impacting their families. I appreciate everyone who joined and shared their questions! Listen to the recording, here.
