John,

J.D.’s virtual discussion tonight gets to the heart of our campaign: equality, fairness, and accessibility.

Too often, folks with disabilities aren’t able to fully participate in our communities and our economy. They’re discriminated against, excluded, and exploited. Although we made progress with the Americans with Disabilities Act championed by Iowa’s own Sen. Tom Harkin, we still have further to go for true equality.

Right now, in Iowa, attacks on voting rights and inaccessible coronavirus testing sites are especially hurting folks with disabilities and our seniors. That’s why tonight at 6 p.m. CT, J.D. will host a panel discussion about disability rights with local leaders to discuss these issues and more. He’ll be joined by occupational therapist and #UpgradeMedicaid member Jenn Wolff, Sioux City councilman Alex Watters, and Iowa Center for Independent Living executive director Reyma McCoy-McDeid!

Join us on Zoom tonight at 6 p.m. CT to listen to J.D., Jenn, Alex, and Reyma’s conversation. Click here to RSVP >> [link removed]

Our campaign is also walking the walk: This conversation will include a live American Sign Language (ASL) translator and will have closed captioning following the event.

We hope you sign up -- J.D. has been itching to do some more online interviews, so this discussion should be worth tuning in for.
