There's no other way to say it, john: Right now, our democracy is under attack.

The Supreme Court, packed with Republicans by Donald Trump, is preparing to hand down a ruling that could gut the Voting Rights Act, one of the most important laws protecting Americans' right to vote.

This time, they're targeting Section 2, which prevents states from drawing maps that dilute the power of already disenfranchised voters. That means they want to make gerrymandering legal–weakening millions of voices at the ballot box.

What's supposed to be a court that checks power is giving Trump and his allies a blank check to do their worst to our democracy. This isn't a theory or abstract; it's happening right now, in real-time.

Congress needs to step up and pass the J ohn R. Lewis Voting Rights Act to give our democracy the tools to protect every American's right to vote. Kim fought hard to pass this bill in the House, and now it's time to make sure it becomes law. When people can't vote, democracy stops working. We have to act now—before it's too late.

Add your name to stand up for our democracy and urge Congress to defend the right to vote. >> [link removed]
