I want to take a moment to talk about a critical fight happening right here in California: Proposition 50.
Earlier this year, Republicans in Texas pulled a power grab, and tried to rig the upcoming midterm election in their favor by changing their Congressional maps to add FIVE extra Republican seats.
Prop 50 is California’s best chance to fight back and preserve our democracy. This measure will ensure fair maps, protect voters, and give every Californian a stronger voice. And it’s on the ballot this November – in just a few weeks.
You can bet that outside National Republican groups are spending big to try and defeat Prop 50. They know that if we can pass Prop 50, we can have a shot at taking back the House Majority. And they’re right.
