President Trumpâs Fourth of July Celebration on Mount Rushmore đ
I had the privilege of representing West Virginia at President Trumpâs July 3rd Mount Rushmore speech. President Trump defended the ideals contained in the Declaration of Independence that all people are endowed by God with the unalienable rights of Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. President Trump made clear he will not bow to the far-left who want to tear down statues and monuments of our Founding Fathers.
Team Mooney in Ripley for the Fourth of July Celebration đ
I was humbled by the strong show of support âTeam Mooneyâ received at the Ripley 4th of July Celebration, well-known as âAmericaâs Largest Small Town Independence Day Celebration.â It is the oldest parade in West Virginia. Traditions like these keep us connected to our core American values!

Economy Continues to Strengthen đ
The economy continues to improve, with 4.8 million jobs added in June and unemployment dropping to 11.1%. Under the CARES Act, West Virginia received $4.4 million to help boost our economy. We also secured funding to improve access to tele-health services across the state and were granted $1 million from the Justice Department to assist in the fight against illegal drugs.Â

Historic Trade Deal to Bring More Jobs đȘ
This month President Trumpâs United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) went into effect, a trade agreement which will open markets to our farmers and manufacturers. Expect to see significant job gains and more opportunities for American businesses. It protects the American worker from unfair trade practices and will have an overall positive impact on our economy!

House Democrats Vote to Make DC a State đ€Š
In yet another power grab, Democrats passed a bill that would turn the District of Columbia into the 51st state. Our Founding Fathers never intended for Washington, D.C. to be a state, in fact they were very explicit that it should remain a federal city. Â

Do-Nothing Democrats Continue to... Do Nothing đ
While I have been busy working for our constituents, many Democrat members of Congress are not showing up for work. Nancy Pelosi extended the Democratâs unconstitutional proxy voting scheme and nearly a third of House Democrats continue to evade their responsibility and vote by proxy. We were elected to represent our constituents and vote on their behalf in Congress. Speaker Pelosi's unconstitutional voting scheme has no place in Congress.

Supreme Court Sides with Abortion Rights Activists â
This week the Supreme Court sided with abortion rights activists on a major case and failed to protect the life of unborn babies. Chief Justice John Roberts voted with the Courtâs four liberals, overturning Louisiana's law that required that abortion doctors have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital. This is a disappointing outcome. I will continue to fight for our pro-life values.Â

As part of the special Independence Day event which took place on Mount Rushmore, a unique military flyover and fireworks were enjoyed by attendees. The Blue Angels F/A-18 Hornets flew over Mount Rushmore in a powerful display of American greatness, strength and patriotism.
