Demand the Senate Pass Gun Violence Prevention Bills

John,

The horrific tragedies in El Paso, Dayton, and Chicago earlier this month should have been a blaring wake-up call. Our nation is facing a gun violence epidemic.

Yet the Senate has refused to take action to prevent future shootings. Bills that will make our communities safer are gathering dust on Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s desk. Senators must return from recess to do their jobs and pass this legislation. Every day they don’t, more lives are lost.

Sign the petition to demand the Senate IMMEDIATELY return to Washington to pass lifesaving gun safety laws! >>>

It’s been over 150 days since the House passed H.R. 8, the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, and H.R. 1112, the Enhanced Background Checks Act. Both would save lives. It’s long past time for the Senate to do its job and make these gun violence prevention bills law! It’s like knowing your actions can end a war, but you say “Sure, as soon as I’m back from vacation.”

We can no longer allow politicians to turn their backs on our safety and livelihood. Now is the time for us to unite and demand action.

Our communities can’t afford to wait any longer. Sign on to demand Mitch McConnell and the Senate immediately return to Washington and pass H.R.8 and H.R.1112, for the safety of all Americans >>

Thank you for taking action today, John.
