Well, while countries across the globe have made strides toward containment and recovery, the U.S. diagnoses almost 50,000 new cases per day and clocks in 3 million total confirmed cases.

As cases continue to rise, minority communities, individuals, and workers bear the brunt of the impact.

This is not just a health care crisis, it's an economic crisis -- one that's disproportionately impacting marginalized people, especially Black Americans.

"Domestic workers are on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic," a group of domestic care workers explains the importance and dangers of home care work in the current pandemic. Many domestic workers are currently without job security or governmental assistance. "Care work is the fastest growing economy in America, and Black women make up a third of the percentage of care workers. They are the backbone of the nation's economy."
