You heard it here first: a member of the Maine House of Representatives— the people’s house— has been caught posting on facebook "I have no problem saying this- guns should be banned."

Banned? That’s right. First-term State Representative Shawn Babine from Scarborough made no apology for his unhinged, radical statement yesterday.

We’ve seen it play out time and time again: Maine House Democrats refusing to listen to the people they claim to have the honor of representing. They have worked to expand state government, roll back welfare reform, promote a "Green New Deal" for Maine, all while spending every last dime available (and then some!)

We absolutely cannot allow the Speaker’s Gavel to be handed over to Shawn Babine’s caucus again in 2020.

Representative Babine’s "ban guns" comment shows you exactly what we are up against— that is why I’m asking for your help.
