When I ran for school board in 2020, the average cost of packing a school lunch was already high. Families were struggling to afford basic necessities. But now, the average cost of a basic school lunch has skyrocketed.

I know working families across the country are struggling to afford basic necessities right now, so I wanted to check in with you: Have you seen the cost of groceries rise in Philadelphia?

YES

When Donald Trump ran for office, he promised that working families wouldn’t feel the effects of tariffs. But he lied.

Working families like mine have been the victims of his cruel trade war, which was always meant to boost the profits of greedy corporations. Republicans like Ashley Moody have had the opportunity to push back against his tariffs, but she has sided with Trump, NOT working Floridians.

When I get to the U.S. Senate, I promise to do whatever it takes to lower costs for all families. Every kid deserves a healthy and nutritious meal that parents are able to afford.
