In April of 2019, the NCMEC received roughly 1 million reports of children being abused online. Last month, it saw more than 4.1 million come in via its CyberTipline, according to data provided to CNN. Senate Judiciary Committee Unanimously Passes EARN IT Act On July 2nd, the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously voted (22-0) to pass the bi-partisan EARN It Act to hold Big Tech Companies Accountable when they knowingly allow child sex abuse images on their online platforms. EIE worked with the offices of bill co-sponsors, Senator Blumenthal (D-CT) and Senator Graham (R-SC), to support the "manager's version" of the bill.
