FWISD Taken Over by the State

We have been calling out Fort Worth ISD for many years. Many of our activists have been heavily involved in pushing for reform in the district for even longer. This week, we've achieved a step in the right direction.

The State has announced that it will take over the school district due to poor performance. Hopefully, under State control, the District can get its spending under control. Undoubtedly, they will manage the district better than the liberals currently on the board of trustees (at least most of them).

Perhaps the State can do something about not only the test scores, but about the rates of non-English speakers. If students are going to be in our schools, they should speak English - and be instructed in English!

There may be an opportunity for a state-controlled FWISD to cooperate with Trump on deportations. We hope that this is the case. Time will tell.

TCU Shuts Down Women and Gender

TCU has taken another step towards removing radical leftism from its campus as our two-year fight to save the school continues. They announced this week that both the Women and Gender Studies Department as well as the Comparative Race and Ethnicity Department will be shut down.

The school says the decision came because of low student interest. The classes and faculty, rather than going away, will merely be added to the English Department, making this win less substantive than we hoped.

However, it is still a step in the right direction. It has helped to demoralize the liberals at the school. Brandon Manning, whom we have discussed before, was very vocal about the demoralizing nature of this action to his movement. Good!

White Settlement Is Gone

Last week, we told you that the Fort Worth City Council was set to vote on renaming White Settlement road. Well, the vote passed.

Only two members voted against it, Alan Blaylock and Charlie Lauersdorf. We owe a big thanks to both of them for doing the right thing. You should never cave to your enemies who want to erase history.

Many of the other council members would bill themselves as "Business Republicans" until they have to choose between giving liberals what they want and standing for the business community. This move is obviously going to make things more difficult for businesses on this street. Clients will be confused, and all sorts of marketing must now be changed.

The move was (allegedly) meant to erase the "painful memories" the name of the street brought for American Indians. Really, this does the opposite. CBS reported that the move to rename White Settlement was actually OPPOSED by American Indians in Fort Worth, who see it as erasing history. They rightly would prefer that the history of their people be remembered, not forgotten. The only way to not repeat history is to remember it.

This move hurts and is opposed by both the Business Community and the American Indians. But liberals and complicit Republicans did it anyway, because at the end of the day, they have their loyalties.

Trans Doctor Loses License

This week, AG Paxton announced that a radical leftist doctor had surrendered her medical license for prescribing gender transition drugs to children.

This is a great move by the Attorney General. Obviously, this activity is illegal. But the biggest issue with Republicans has always been with following through and using power against those violating the law.

Paxton has shown that both he and the State of Texas are willing to strip the license from those attempting to harm children. This is great news for children in our state!
