John,
We recently asked you to send in your questions about the Squad, our campaigns, and the movement we’re building together. And wow — you spoke loud and clear.
The last few weeks have been intense. Government shutdowns, gerrymandering, ICE raids, and attacks on our democracy. The stakes have never been higher.
But what your questions overwhelmingly demonstrate is that the people aren’t scared. No, the people are ready to fight. Together, we can turn fear into action.
We wanted to take a moment to answer a few of the questions we received most often:
Stephen from North Carolina asked: Will you commit to holding everyone and anyone accountable for their actions, decisions, and failure to comply with the Constitution, including but not limited to the Supreme Court?
Absolutely. Democracy only works when the powerful are held accountable, from local officials to the highest courts in the land. The Squad fights tirelessly to make sure laws and the Constitution aren’t optional. Alexandria has exposed corporate influence in Congress and challenged authoritarian overreach in immigration policy. Ayanna has stood up against systemic injustices in policing and budget priorities that hurt working families. Ilhan consistently calls out corruption and the misuse of power in foreign policy and federal spending. Rashida has pushed back against voter suppression and other attacks on the democratic process. Every vote, every campaign, every protest is part of that accountability. We refuse to let anyone place themselves above the people, and together, we keep up the pressure where it matters most.
Larry from Texas asked: How can we counteract the GOP’s gerrymandering?
We fight back through grassroots organizing and supporting independent redistricting efforts to bring balance back to the maps. Every community meeting and volunteer effort strengthens the movement. Gerrymandering works only when people sit back — and people-powered work is how we reclaim democracy and make every vote count.
Abbie from California asked: What can we do to get ICE off our streets?
We fight to protect our communities — and the first step is taking a stand. Across the country, people are showing incredible courage: neighbors are putting their bodies on the line and raising their voices to protect one another from deportation, community members are documenting ICE raids and sharing their stories to hold authorities accountable, and volunteers are walking families to safety or accompanying them to appointments so they aren’t targeted. These acts take real personal risk, but they make a difference and can save lives. You can take action too: speak out safely in your neighborhoods, connect with local immigrant advocacy groups, and organize with your neighbors to demand policies that prioritize safety over raids. This is how we push back against ICE, protect our neighbors, and build communities that are safe, strong, and resilient.
Beatriz from Georgia asked: How can we convince voters to call their representatives?
Start with the people you know. Talk to your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers about why this fight matters. Ask them to take action, and then ask them to bring someone else along. Invite them to make calls, send emails, or attend town halls with you. Every conversation, every shared story, creates a chain of people-powered pressure that politicians can’t ignore. Change doesn’t happen when we wait for someone else to lead — it happens when communities organize through their relationships, turning connections into collective action, and making sure every voice is heard. That’s how we build real power, together.
Your questions aren’t just questions — they’re a blueprint for action. They show us that change happens when people speak out and hold power accountable. By supporting our progressive leaders, taking action in our communities, and refusing to let injustice go unchallenged, we build a movement that can win real, lasting progressive change.
In these uncertain times, the Squad Victory Fund is standing with you. We’re taking a stand, turning fear into power, and building a movement that cannot be ignored.
Thank you for asking, organizing, and standing up. Together, we fight. Together, we win.
In solidarity,
The Squad Victory Fund
