Americans are struggling right now — a lot.
SNAP benefits are set to end in at least 25 states, putting millions of
families at risk of going hungry. Millions of Americans could see their
health care premiums double next year. The government is shut down,
critical services for veterans and small businesses are paused, and
thousands of federal workers aren’t being paid.
Yet this is how Donald Trump is spending his time:

Donald Trump is bulldozing the East Wing of the White House to build a
$300 million, 90,000 square foot gilded ballroom — and hosting dinners to
thank the billionaires funding his palace.
No modern president has ever refashioned the White House so extensively
for personal glory. He’s taking a wrecking ball to the People’s House to
turn it into a monument of his wealth and influence — just like he's
trying to reshape the country in his image.
This is about so much more than a ballroom. It’s about a presidency built
around authoritarianism and personal gain — and it’s also corruption in
plain sight. Billionaires are cozying up to Trump so they can maximize
their profits, using donations to build his palace while working people
struggle.
If we don’t push back now, we send a message that this is
acceptable, John. And from there,
things will only get worse.
We can't let the White House become a gilded palace for billionaires while
everyday Americans are fighting to survive. We need to mobilize and show
the wannabe dictator and his wannabe aristocrat allies that they do not
get to define our country or control our futures.
