John – Last week, I was denied access to the Broadview ICE detention facility to conduct oversight. It is unambiguous in the law that Members of Congress have a right – and a responsibility – to conduct oversight. And yet, it’s not the first time I’ve been illegally denied access. I’ve even had the police called on me for trespassing. There is no accountability, no transparency, and we have no idea what is occurring inside these ICE facilities. We’ve seen countless reports of thousands being held with no due process, inhumane conditions and hundreds of our neighbors unable to be located by their loved ones. This has got to end. ICE is acting completely out-of-control. It’s unacceptable — and I’m angry, John. But look, if I’ve learned anything in my life as an immigrant, it’s that we have to find a way to turn our emotions into action. That’s why I’m running for Senate. Because we need leaders with a backbone to FIGHT BACK against these attacks and stop Donald Trump – before it’s too late. That’s exactly what I’ve spent every day in Congress doing, and exactly what I’ll do in the Senate.
 Thank you, Raja Krishnamoorthi
