Friend,

I want to tell you about a candidate I’m really excited about, Daeja Baker. She is a social worker, community advocate, and candidate for the Shaler Area School Board.

If elected, Daeja would make history as the first person of color and first openly queer member to serve on the Shaler Area School Board — and she’s exactly the kind of leader and representation our schools need.

As a social worker who’s spent her career supporting children in and out of the classroom, Daeja has seen firsthand how much our students need mental health support, caring adults, and inclusive school environments where every child feels seen and valued.

She’s running to bring transparency, collaboration, and student-focused decision-making to the board — ensuring that all students, especially those who are too often left behind, have the opportunity to thrive.

I’m proud to support Daeja because she’s the kind of public servant who listens, leads with compassion, and shows up for her community. Will you join me in supporting Daeja’s campaign by making a donation?

If you’d like to meet her, you can join me at her event tomorrow, October 25, from 9-10:30am at Burghers Brewing in Millvale, PA.

Let’s help Daeja make history — and create schools where every student has a seat at the table.

Thank you,

Lindsey Williams
