America's farmers. China is no longer importing soybeans from the
United States, and we are being told that we should import lots of
beef from Argentina, even though we have cattle farmers who are
perfectly capable of producing enough beef for American consumption,
and then some. Do you want your food fresh because it is produced
locally, or do you want it to come from thousands of miles away,
produced, perhaps, by people who don't abide by the same standards of
cleanliness and disease protocols? Can the United States consider
itself a "superpower" if we are not even food self-sufficient? EIR
