Early voting is underway in California’s special election on Proposition 50, also known as the “Election Rigging Response Act.”
This ballot measure will decide whether California’s congressional map will be temporarily redrawn ahead of the midterms. The outcome of the vote on this ballot measure could help determine which party has control of the House next year.
Vote Forward has launched an innovative letter & flyer campaign to contact Democratic voters about California’s Proposition 50, to increase voter turnout.
At Vote Forward, people like you to play a leading role in testing and scaling innovative, high-impact tactics that encourage fellow Americans to vote. We’re a pro-democracy organization committed to supporting voter participation, especially in a time of democratic backsliding.
Thousands of volunteers are working hard to turn out as many voters as possible, both by writing them personalized letters and through a new tactic that we’re testing for the first time this year: personalized flyers. These flyers can be distributed to reach voters where they live, work, and gather, with a personalized message that helps break through the noise to reach fellow voters.
We set a goal of reaching nearly 1 million California voters before our October 28 mailing deadline. That’s the last day we have to ensure letters arrive before Election Day, and we need as many people as possible on board to reach our goal.
This campaign is a critical action that you can participate in to protect democracy right now, and also an opportunity to sharpen our testing agenda and drive innovation for the entire pro-democracy ecosystem. You do not need to be a resident of California to get involved in this effort.
