The Democratic House has passed a sweeping bill designed to take America into a new era of green infrastructure.

Of course, Republicans stand unequivocally opposed to the idea.

Mitch McConnell called the stimulus package -- which includes funding for schools, housing, utilities, and vehicles, all with an eye on environmental responsibility -- a "pure fantasy."

Unfortunately, "pure fantasy" is how most Republicans view climate change. But a global consensus of scientists and experts disagree -- and if we want to prevent the next national crisis, we need to act now.
