The absentee ballots from June's Democratic primary are coming in, and cynical attempts to disqualify ballots for technicalities have come along with them.
We now know that allowing absentee voting for the primary was a no-brainer: states that relaxed social distancing too early are seeing disturbing spikes in the number of coronavirus infections.
By voting absentee, hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers contributed to the public health benefit of us all.
Their votes must be counted.
