Dear Friend,

At a time when our shared values of justice and equality face unprecedented challenges, we come together to celebrate courage, leadership, and conviction. On
Sunday, November 9, 2025, join us in Los Angeles for an unforgettable evening of unity and purpose at MPAC’s Annual Benefit Gala, a night that will bring together leaders, change makers, and visionaries shaping a more just future.

Humza Yousaf is a dedicated public servant and a trailblazer in civic engagement, known for his tireless work in advancing equity, justice, and representation. His list of accomplishments include achievements that reflect his commitment to the values we share here at MPAC. In 2023, he became leader of the Scottish National Party and the first person of color and first Muslim to serve as First Minister of Scotland, as well as being the second Muslim to lead a major British political party. From 2018-2021, he served as justice secretary in Scotland, where he introduced the Hate Crime and Public Order Bill. This bill was significant in expanding protections against hate speech.

Throughout his career, Yousaf has broken many barriers while navigating complex issues in health, justice, and social care. MPAC is proud to recognize Yousaf for his leadership, integrity, and vision of a more inclusive America where every person has the opportunity to serve and thrive.
