Please Join Us: Municipal Campus Open House
The Mendota Heights City Council is developing a proposal for the construction of a municipal campus that builds on the legacy of City Hall while also addressing safety and security concerns. The project seeks to thoughtfully shape a modern, welcoming, and resilient hub of civic life, city operations, and community public safety. Resident input will help to guide the vision for the future Municipal Campus.

Meet the New Natural Resources Commission Student Representatives
Student Representatives to City Commissions serve as communication links for ideas, observations, concerns, satisfactions and questions to the Commission. The City Council appointed Alia Alizadeh and Anabella Bisanz to serve as the Student Representatives to the Natural Resources Commission, with terms ending in August 2026.
Alia and Anabella are both high school students. Alia wants to bring the voice of students into city decisions, and Anabella wants to help her community and get more involved. We are excited for Alia and Anabella to foster engagement with youth in the community on natural resources topics.

Mayor for a Day
The League of Minnesota Cities is hosting its annual "Mayor for a Day" Essay Contest, inviting 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students from across the state to share their ideas for improving their communities. Students are encouraged to think creatively and write about what they would do if they were mayor for a day. The contest is a fun way to spark interest in local government and civic engagement at a young age. Selected winners will have their essays published and may receive special recognition from the League. It's a great opportunity for students to make their voices heard!
