Americans have had enough. Seven million people took to the streets for No Kings Day on October 18, making it the second-largest single-day protest in U.S. history. They’re tired of watching Trump prove, time and time again, that one set of rules exists for the rich and powerful, and another set exists for everyone else.

But here’s the truth: fighting Trump isn’t enough. 

We need a new vision for the future, one that works for working people. That means establishing Medicare for All, affordable housing and childcare, and an economy that gives people the chance to not only scrape out a living, but to pursue the American Dream. 

Democrats must stand to bridge the economic divides tearing our country apart and answer Trump’s fear with moral clarity.
