Earlier this year, I endorsed Candance Valenzuela, who is running for Congress to represent the people of Texas’ 24th District.
Now, Candace is headed to a runoff election on Tuesday for the Democratic nomination.
I know Candance will be a fierce advocate for immigrants and working families in Texas and across our country. We need more bold, activist leaders in Congress — which is why I’m asking:
In a moment when inequality and xenophobia are at epidemic levels — exacerbated by the cruel and draconian policies emanating from this White House — we need leaders like Candace. She understands — first hand — the challenges facing the people she is running to represent, and she’ll fight for them every single day.
The next few days are critical to Tuesday’s results. Candace needs to have the resources to engage voters in every corner of the Texas’ 24th in order to win.
