Happening TOMORROW, 10/25:

"Stretch Our Parks" Volunteer Event near Monticello Park: Looking to mingle with other nature-loving individuals? Come together and help us "stretch a park" this weekend! We will remove invasive plants and plant new native trees, shrubs and flowers in a backyard adjoining bird haven Monticello Park in a layout partially designed by NVBA's Wildlife Sanctuary team. Hard-soled shoes and long sleeve shirts are recommended.  Equipment, gloves, refreshments, and snacks will be provided. Let us know you’re joining us by filling out this form: Stretch Our Parks 10/25 Volunteer Intake Form

Birdability Outing at Mason Neck State Park: Join us and our partners Birdability and DC Bird Alliance, as we work to promote Birdability Week 2025 at this bird outing! NVBA will set up a seating area with spotting scopes, monoscopes, and extra binoculars for guests to utilize, and guests are welcome to bring their own binoculars as well. RSVP here and join this inclusive birding event!
